So yesterday we took the train from Blois to Paris then Paris to Deauville (said like dough-ville), a very lovely little town by the English Channel. Actually, there are two towns here; Trouville is just across the river, but you wouldn't really tell that they're separate towns from anything besides a political boundary map.
Our hotel is really nice, and close to the train station and near the center of town(s). The room decoration has a very driftwood-salt coast feel to it, which I really like. And it's very quiet.
We went for a walk this morning, mostly to look around and partly to
find lunch. Or maybe it was the other way around. In any case, we ended
up having a picnic on the beach and then wandering up a hill through a
very posh neighborhood with a fantastic view. It's going to be nice
here!

| From our last walk in Blois: We we're taking another self-portrait picture by the Loire River when an old couple stopped and asked if we'd like them to take it. Of course we said yes, then the little old man grabbed his wife's bouquet and handed it to me for the picture. They were very nice people! |

| I have no idea what these flowers are called, but they're everywhere here, and I love them. |

| All of the architecture in Trouville is beautiful! |
 |
| and it wasn't even all that windy. |

| Une pique-nique sur la plage! |
 |
| One of the houses/mansion/estate things we walked past had an albino peacock! |
 |
| And a normal one! |
 |
| Michael liked this sign. It means "Avenue of Long Goals", but I don't think he knew that at the time. (: |
